The seminar named "Green digital technology, Smart Internet of Things" hosted by China Association for the Promotion of International Science and Technology was successfully held in Jiangyin, Jiangsu, China in 28-March-2024. The seminar was aimed at the publicizing and implementation of group standards of 《Technical specifications of split core current transformers》, promotion of the construction of smart power grids and energizing industrial intelligence, green, and digital transformation.
The 《Technical specifications of split core current transformers》was co-written by Jiangyin Spark Electronic Technology Co., Ltd, Jiangsu Acrel Electrical Manufacturing Co., Ltd, Shenyang Zhongchuan MEASUREMENT Technology Co., Ltd, Orelc Electric Co., Ltd. Changzhou, Shandong YUANXING Electronics Co., Ltd and others in total 16 companies. The standard refers to the relevant content of China's electronics industry standards, and is formulated in combination with the research situation of the co-authors, with the purpose of providing technical support for the domestic power and electrical equipment industry.
The standard specifies the performance requirements and testing methods of the split core current transformer technical specification. The body part is divided into eight chapters, including the scope of application of the standard, normative reference documents, term definition, technical requirements, structural requirements, test methods, etc. The split core current transformer is a kind of sensor used to measure the current in AC circuit, which is mainly used in the transformation project of power distribution system, and can be used with relay protection, measurement and metering devices. Compared with the traditional fixed current transformer, the split core current transformer has the advantages of smaller size, lighter weight, more convenient installation and so on.
Wang Tianhu, professor of Jiangsu University of Technology, introduced that with the development of power system and the advancement of smart grid, the demand for current measurement and monitoring is increasing, and the traditional current transformer can no longer meet the requirements of modern power system. In recent years, the split core AC transformer market has shown a steady growth trend worldwide.
The relevant experts involved in the development of the group standard believe that the standard aims to promote industry technological innovation and normative application, ensure the quality of the new split core current transformer, to comprehensively improve the stability and safety of current measurement, meet the data collection and monitoring needs of the smart grid, and empower the intelligent, green and digital transformation of the industry.

At the seminar, experts and scholars from Nanjing University of Science and Technology, Changzhou University, Jiangsu University of Technology and other universities and leaders of power and electrical equipment industries in Jiangsu, Shandong, Liaoning and other places discussed hot issues such as the safe, efficiency and environmentally friendly development of smart power, and proposed green energy solutions based on the split core current transformer technical specifications and reached consensus on multi-faceted cooperation.
